Little Amphetamine Annie
Annie is one of several characters
that live in possibly the most twisted concept for a comic book
concept I've ever thought of.
Annie trudges through life in
a very different manner than the original Little Orphan Annie
but with a equally odd cast of characters, like Daddy Pornobucks
(her Boss), Randy Rabbit (her purse), Candy Kisses
(her friend), plus Sweet Cakes, Kitty 13 and a
host of other odd characters.
Some of the other characters in Annie's
world are anthropomorphic, like The
Shady Ladies, French Poodle &
Alley Cat a couple
of ladies of the evening and Rock
Hound (background character)
a strung out hound dog.
I think it's the blood shot eyes and
the droopy drooling faces of hound dogs make me think of the way
drug addicts look sometimes so Rock
Hound is pretty much based on that.
Annie however will likely be
a staple character of my "No Cash Comics" which
will be a mixed assortment of comic strips I've drawn like the
"X"ed Up Files with
Agents Folder &
Sully, a
couple of goofy short strips I did very loosely based on the X
Files TV show.
Plus I'll have some portfolio pages
mixed in ... assuming the project really gets going full time. I've
got about half the pages I need to make a finished comic.
